I almost got one of those when I was at the LCS. I have noticed lately (this year) that most coin shops generic inventory has been quite low. Kind of a bummer when they won't let you look through their bin. I travel a lot and always look for coin shops that I haven't been to before. Yesterday I found a 1982 Sunshine Mining (pre-Sunshine Mint) silver round in BU condition with serial number for $2 over, amazing I can still find oldies out there now and then.
Found a few preemies from Perth mint too. It wasn't that long ago I found a 20 dollar denomination Liberty Dollar when I was sorting through one. I have found many premium rounds that were just tossed into a generic bucket. Sometimes the numi's are sky high and the premium silver is a buck or 2 over spot. Some owners do not attach premium value to certain rounds. You never know what you might stumble into at a coin shop. The 1986 Everest obverse Prospectors are quite attractive and more readily found. Last week one was listed on ebay for moon money but got no bids. A current favorite and perhaps the most attractive Prospector of them all.Ĭanadian Prospectors are seldom seen.
